The Boxing Club muay thai team traveled overseas to the 'Land of the Rising Sun' over the weekend to battle  against Japan's elite fighters. The venue was at Karakuen, Tokyo, which is famed for having many world championship events. Karakuen Hall has been labeled ' the Madison Square Garden' of Japan.
The event pitted Japanese champions against foreigners: Brazil, Thailand, Morocco, including Italy and Russia-via-USA represented on this night.  Fabrizio won by knocking  the Japanese Champion Matsumoto down twice in the 1st round and later knocking out the champ with a left hook in the 2nd round. Artem battled a bloody 3 round war with Japanese sensation Taka Osamitsu. Taka had over 25 bouts more than Artem but his 'lack of experience' did not show as he stood toe-to-toe with the Japanese. In the end, Artem lost a close split decision but the Japanese fans gave Artem a standing ovation and applauded him for his bravory.
